The KPMG Young Leader Award recognises an individual with vision, creativity and commitment to excellence within the food industry. This was not only for my work as Managing Director of Olga’s Fine Foods but also for my other involvements in the SA food industry such as my involvement with the food industry group FlavourSA, my role as deputy representative for the smallgoods industry on the South Australian Meat Hygiene Unit Advisory Council, my consulting company ‘Foodology Consulting’ and my food writing website ‘The Foodologist’.

The other nominees for the event were Steven Marafiote, Managing Director of Australian Quality Plus, a new export company trading to Middle Eastern markets and Romeo Giangregorio, Manager of Rainbow Fresh, specialising in fresh cut salads, fresh herbs and Asian leafy vegetables.
